The
painting, Bottlenose Dolphins was entered into the Wildlife Artist
of the Year 2008 competition held by The David Shepherd Wildlife
Foundation. It was selected for the exhibition held at the Mall
Galleries in London on 24 June at which the prize winners were
announced.
It did not win a prize but was sold at the exhibition for £1350
Pounds - R20 000. Half of this was used by DSWF for their
conservation projects.
The
Wildlife Artist of the Year exhibition was held alongside the Three
Generations exhibition at which
paintings by David Shepherd, his daughter Mandy and eldest
grand-daughter Emily Lamb were sold.
A total
of £75000
was raised for wildlife.
